The Learning Circle
After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming
the good news of God. The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom
of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:14-15).

- An event or moment or a crisis when time can seem to “stand
still”
- A period of “time” when chronos is of no importance
- It could mark a significant shift in your life
The Greek word for Kingdom is basileia.
- The rule of God in our lives; His kingship

and influence in our lives
The Greek word for Believe is pisteuo.
- Active trust

process of belief and action

- Something you are sure about
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching
them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you
always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28: 19-20)
The Greek word for disciple is mathetes

A lifestyle of learning
- Learning happens by event and process
- Kairos events allow us to enter a process of repentance and faith
- Having experienced a kairos event in our lives, we then begin the
process of learning from it
- The result is seeing God’s kingdom rule in your life
Repentance
- Observe: Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or
store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them (Matthew
6:26)
- Reflect: Are you not much more valuable than they? (Matthew 6:26)
- Discuss: Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
(Matthew 6:27)
Believe - Faith
- Plan: But seek first His kingdom… (6:33)
- Account: A good tree cannot bear bad fruit and a bad tree cannot bear
good fruit (7:18)
- Act: Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them
into practice is like a wise man who built his house on a rock (7:24)
