Seeds of Hope Church’s decision to align with the international and multi-denominational 3D Ministries team has afforded us a practical language and operating system that shows people the way “to go out and make more disciples”. As we learn to become disciples and learn to make disciples of Jesus Christ, we rely on certain tools to facilitate this process. Lifeshapes are a series of eight-shaped principles that help us live out the life of Jesus. It is an operating system that teaches us to do the things that Jesus did and live the way that Jesus lived.

So what is Lifeshapes? A series of eight geometrical objects: the circle, the triangle, the semi-circle, the hexagon etc…that are based on the teaching and life of Jesus. The power of Lifeshapes is that each one takes a profound Biblical principle and presents it is a way such that it is simply understood and applied. Kids can easily understand Lifeshapes and apply the biblical principles they represent to their lives.

Lifeshapes is not a program. You don’t simply learn one and then go on to the next. No, it is really a discipline that gives people some very specific tools to help discern what God is doing in their lives…by asking the right questions…therefore making the appropriate adjustments and responses to God’s leading. Each shape is related back to a discipleship principle based on the life of Jesus. Because Lifeshapes is a discipline and not a program…we can almost say that Lifeshapes becomes a way or a rule of life.
