The Semi-Circle

We can rediscover the rythm of life the Creator God intended for us in the principles of the Semi-Circle.
John 15:1-8
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off
every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear
fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already
clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will
remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the
vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine;
you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear
much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain
in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches
are picked up thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and
my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing
yourselves to be my disciples.”
• Do you have a time of rest each day?
• Each week?
• Each month?
• Each season?
The Rhythm of Jesus’ Life
Mark 1:9-13
“At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized
by John in the Jordan. As Jesus was coming out of the water, he saw heaven
being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice
came down from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I
am well pleased.”
Mark 1: 9 -13
“At once the Spirit sent him out into the desert, and he was in the desert forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.”
Mark 1:35-39
“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up,
left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon
and his companions went to look for him and when they found him, they
exclaimed: ‘Everyone is looking for you.’”
Mark 1:35?39
“Jesus replied, ‘Let us go somewhere else ? to the nearby villages ? so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.’ So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.”
Mark 6:7
“Calling the Twelve to him, he sent them out two by two and gave them authority over evil spirits.”
Mark 6:31
“Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did
not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by
yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
The “retirement ministry” of Jesus
Mark 7:24
“Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret.”
Luke 5:16
“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”
The Rhythm of Life
John 15:5
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
