The Square

The Square lays out the stages every disciple experiences and gives you the corresponding styles of leadership.
Jesus – The greatest leader of all
“…whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Mark 10 : 44 – 45

D1 –Mark 1:15 - 20
After John was put into prison, Jesus went into Galilee proclaiming the good news of God. “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!” As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net in a lake, for they were fishermen. “Come follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”
At once they left their nets and followed him. When he had gone on a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

D2 - Luke 12:32 – 34
“Do not be afraid little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and moth destroys. For where you treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

D3 – John 15: 12 - 17
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead I have called you friends, for everything that I have learned from my Father I have made known to you…”
“…You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear much fruit – fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other.”

D4 – Matthew 28: 18 - 20
Then Jesus came to them and said, “ All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age.”
